In the context of the collection Carlos do Carmo, 100 Canções – Uma Vida, an edition of the Público newspaper and the Universal Company, the Museu do Fado opens an exhibition focusing on the singer’s career.

By recreating the atmosphere of the conversation between the singer and the journalist Ana Sousa Dias, that originated the texts in the 10 volumes of the collection, the exhibit is illustrated with repertoires and records of Carlos do Carmo, among other documentation, with special emphasis on the singer's portraits, painted by Júlio Pomar in 2007.

This collection will be available weekly from May 24th with Público Newspaper, and features themes chosen by Carlos do Carmo, bringing together much of his work recorded between 1963 and 2008, along with the unprecedented and exclusive edition of the disc Ao Vivo no Casino Estoril, recorded on October 3rd 2008. The remaining nine volumes are subject to the titles: Os Poetas, Lisboa, Os Compositores, À Guitarra e À Viola, Os Fados Tradicionais, Com Orquestras, Outros “Fados”, Internacional and Ary por Carlos do Carmo.
