In the context of the centenary of the birth of Maria Teresa de Noronha (1918-1993), the Fado Museum promotes an exhibition alluding to the journey of this greatest figure in the history of Fado, who never wanted to assume professional status.

Creator of an unmistakable style and venerated by the public who listened to her on the National Radio's microphones for 23 years, Maria Teresa de Noronha was one of the great stars of 20th century Fado.

Audiovisual documents and records alluding to the artist's biographical journey, her performances in Portugal, Madrid, Brussels, Brazil, London and Monaco, her repertoires and recordings illustrate the unique artistic biography of the great lady of fado who said she was an amateur until the end.
