AMÁLIA, who gave you the fate that was already yours...
Amália's fate is to be our eternal inspiration. In this concert there is a part that is especially dear to me: the 6 songs and poems that were made to offer Amália after she left us.
Xaile de Silêncio, for example, was created by Mário Cláudio on the same day of her death.
I think these offerings are a poetic idea and more interesting than repeating ad eternum the Amalian repertoire that no one will sing like her.
These longings, in a way, are the biography of Amália that continues to be written.
