Ao Fado Tudo Se Canta?

On May 19th, 2010 the Fado Museum hosted the launch of the book Ao Fado Tudo Se Canta? by Daniel Gouveia. In an auditorium packed full of friends Daniel Gouveia spoke about their thoughts on fate and the investigation that led to this book.

 

With the seal of DG Edições - which belongs to the author - the book is the result of 40 years of reflections on the fado universe. The book, accompanied by three CDs with 190 musical examples, discusses the origins of fado, its musical evolution, the poetic elements and innovation of this musical genre.

 

Daniel Gouveia, author of lyrics and music of Fado in Lisbon, is a member of the APAF (Portuguese Association of Friends of Fado) and the Consultative Councils of the Fado Museum.
