A virtuoso Portuguese guitarist, Luís Guerreiro was influenced by his father, who helped to arouse his curiosity about the Portuguese guitar and, consequently, about Fado, when he presented him with his first guitar at the age of 10.
While attending the Music Academy, he met another important Portuguese guitarist, António Parreira, with whom he began to have private lessons.
It was then that the opportunity arose to begin playing professionally, appearing at Lisbon’s best-known Fado Houses and rapidly becoming the most sought after Portuguese guitarist, performing at the most important national and international venues with some of the great names from the world of Fado, such as Mariza, Camané, António Zambujo and Carminho, among others.
He has also performed in his own name and is awaiting the release of his first solo album next year.
