Jorge
Fernando, the most popular singer-songwriter in Portugal, is celebrating a
career that already spans 40 years. A musician, Fado singer and producer, he is
one of the most widely sung composers in Portuguese music.
He
accompanied Amália Rodrigues all around the world, always writing songs for
some of the greatest names in Fado music: Fernando Maurício, Ricardo Ribeiro,
Camané, Ana Moura and Mariza. His solo performances, including such songs as
“Quem vai ao Fado”, “Chuva”, “Trigueirinha”, “Búzios” and “Boa Noite Solidão”,
have been complete sell outs at a variety of international concert halls.
Having
established his position as a genuine Fado icon, Jorge Fernando will be
returning to some of his greatest hits at this concert held to celebrate his
40-year-long career.
