On 19 February 2020 Joel Pina commemorated his 100th birthday. Pivotal figure in the History of Fado, Joel Pina was the musician who accompanied Amália Rodrigues for the longest period of time (three decades). This double centenary is a cause for celebration in a concert promoted by the Fado Museum in the São Luiz Municipal Theatre.
